I love this view, and it's where most of my sunsets and sunrises are captured from - the upstairs spare room skylight window! This morning it was beautiful and frosty, and just begging to be photographed! First, the view is incredibly stunning, though it has no strong colours. The picture does a good blend and focus of the foreground, middleground and background; also, the scenery is quite peaceful, yet in an ordinary way. It could be any day, the photograph seems timeless. The effect that the nearest rooftops have give an impression of being physically there and observing the whole landscape. Otherwise the scene would've looked picturesque but not very creative. Overall, the angle is perfect, because even though it was taken from a rooftop it doesn't look imposing as if glancing below, it's more subtle. In my opinion, landscapes are not very original, but this one really well taken.
