Today we woke up to a widespread blanket of snow, and the news that in the next town, over 2000 people had been stranded overnight in blizzards, in and around the town occurred the biggest abandonement of cars ever seen in Britain due to snow. It was pretty incredible, and not all in a good way. I was one of those who couldn't get my car out the road due to it being a hill and all ( good for floods...but not for snow!) but luckily my parents were kind enough to run me around in their 4 by 4. We witnessed a crash as a woman couldn't brake and shunted the car in front of her, throwing him onto the roundabout in the path of our car, and I'm only too grateful that nothing more serious has happened to friends and family.
Snow is pretty to look at, but it's deadly, very very deadly. And that's sad but true Not looking forward to tomorrow, the snow has thawed a little and refrozen
