A lot of you have asked questions about how the group works, especially with our Gallery. So, here's a handy blog to guide and give you all the information and useful links you need.

You can always pop to our front page and read the Important Information box with all of our shenanigans too!

Submitting Your Photographs

We know how frustrating it is to wait days and days for somebody to approve your art for the gallery. And even more frustrating if you wait all that time and then find you've popped it in the wrong place or it's declined without a reason.

We've found a way round all of that!

Instead of submitting directly to each Photography Category within our Gallery, we have a folder each month in our Favourites. You are allowed to submit one photograph per week into the folder and it's auto-approved! This means no waiting around for an admin to come along and tick a box; your work goes straight into the favourites.

At the end of the month, we will go through the folder, select the best and submit them into the relevant folders within our main Gallery. This will gain you extra exposure and your work will also be among the top quality submissions that our Photography Helpers are regularly finding.

We also allow you to submit works for Constructive Feedback too. You can contribute those pieces here. Once your photographs have received 1 - 2 pieces of feedback from someone in the group, it'll be moved into the current month's folder and again, at the end of the month you could be selected for the Gallery.

It might sound like a very different way of doing things, but, honestly, we believe it's the best. It cuts out a lot of work for you, for our admins and a lot of spam for our watchers and members. At the end of it all, you gain more exposure and everybody is (hopefully) happy!

The Chatroom

Those of you who have attended our Photography Games Nights already will know that we used to hold them in communityrelations. However, we now have our very own shiny chatroom which will hold our events in the future.

Points and Prizes

We have some prizes available on a monthly basis for our chat events, but we are trying to get together a large amount of points so that we can give them out for other things such as games and critiques. Please, if you have any spare points, head over to CRphotographypoints and consider donating them. Even 1 point is better than none!
