It is my great pleasure to announce
the first Official deviantArt "So you think you can street" Photography Spring Contest
which will be held from May 1st till June 15th in deviantArt site.
Everyone is welcome to enter !
Contest Guidelines
1. Your entry must be a STREET photograph.
2. Your entry must be submitted in a special deviantArt category which will open on the 1st of May and can be found following this path: Submit art > Category > Choose category > Contests > 2012 > So You Think You Can Street
3. You can enter the contest with ONE photograph that must have been taken from April 1st till June 15th and

This contest is all about supporting (RED), the cause known for fighting for an AIDS free generation by 2015.
The contest is split into three (3) categories: Deviant Stamps, Journal or Gallery Skins, and DeviantIDs. Each category will have one Major Prize winner.

Create a Deviant Stamp that supports the (RED) organization.

The Culinary Creations contest has ended and the results are IN! What an awesome batch of entries we had. I must say browsing through the gallery on an almost daily basis to check the entries had me feeling incredibly hungry! Film, Animation and Flash Mini-Contest!Hello folks! So this month is Flash, Animation and Flash month for the #ArtHistoryProject.
So me and ^SqueakyToybox have been discussing about the idea of having a joint contest! We struggled for a while to find a good theme that would apply well across these mediums. So then we thought deviantART is full of members across the world. Even myself I'm from the UK and ^SqueakyToybox is from Australia so we're literally halfway across the world from each other.
So we thought a good theme to set you all is:

People & Portraits Exposed #1Sometimes it's difficult to know where best to place your People & Portraiture Photography. Still Life Food Photography Contest

Still life photography usually involves a set up - planning and careful execution of a shot. Food photography in particular takes a lot of preparation and the time to make a dish or an item of food aesthetically pleasing. So I thought it was about time we had a contest involving all elements! Your challenge is to create a brand shiny new Still Life Photography piece that features Food. Now the catch is you must be creative with the food. Entries will be considered carefully and if you are taking photos of food that someone else has made, then you need to step up the mark and make it as unique as possible. If you made the creation yourself, give us a brief idea in the description of how. Utilize the descriptions of your artwork to tell us about your photography!

Start Date: Monday 14th May
End Date: Monday 25th June
