Surreal Landscape by laneamaranth
At first glance I was really confused as to what this image was - but on looking closely, the delicate line of the neck and chin leading into something potentially painful has a very surreal contrast! Surreal Landscape by ~laneamaranth(Featured by Kaz-D)

Water Drop in White 20 by mickeyd600
Water droplet shots are often quite commonly seen around the Abstract and even Surreal Galleries - but this piece is a bold statement, a strong colour and sharp capture that sets it aside from the rest. Water Drop in White 20 by *mickeyd600(Featured by Kaz-D)
Eating Air by AutumnPhyre
Simple - yet it has great depth with the surrounding clouds, a wonderful surreal piece of work! Eating Air by ~AutumnPhyre(Featured by Kaz-D)

dissolving by misledreality
Suggester Says: It feels like there are strobes of light, but I really like the colours and how abstract it feels, mostly because of the variety of colours there are and the shapes. It's not a sight that you see every day, so it makes it all the more fascinating. dissolving by ~misledreality(Featured by Kaz-D, suggested by 3wyl)

Wanderer At The End Of Time by DarkMagoo
I decided to award this a Daily Deviation because of the surreal aspects as well as the concept. It's a wonderful piece and struck me as being different because of the presence of the child at the end of the tunnel effect. Wonderful work! Wanderer At The End Of Time by ~DarkMagoo(Featured by Kaz-D)

winter wonderland updated by marob0501
I know the technique that's required to capture this is a difficult one at times especially to give the appearance of a neutral background when in reality the image captured in the marble is the background too - so this is a wonderful capture with an average snowy scene beautifully framed in a surreal object.winter wonderland updated by ~marob0501

Sometimes when you're not looking...
The best things pop up in your newsfeed. And oh my gosh I've been getting to know my newsfeed again today. Things actually appear in there. I'm ashamed to say that when I was a CV a lot of the time it became a click and delete activity, because there was so much. I lost touch with people, I lost touch with a lot of what I wanted to do and what I was interested in. So with this in mind, I found Farand (https://www.deviantart.com/farand)'s latest journal really poignant as he shared this quote...
"The important point for us is to realise that we are basically good. Our only problem is that sometimes we don't actually acknowledge that goodness. We don't see it, so we blame

This time around, the Tasty Nom has been suggested by cookielover17 (https://www.deviantart.com/cookielover17) who suggested that I put together a feature of Childhood Nostalgia images. It's hard to do because we've all likely had so many different memories across the world, but here are just a few I found when I searched! What are your favourite childhood treats and recipes?

This is where I leave you
I just love dramatic titles. I'm not leaving you though, but yes today is the day that things change after such a long time.
I started my Volunteer career on DeviantArt in July 2010. So that means I've been floating around your inboxes, DDing, writing articles and doing lots of photography related shenanigans for over half a decade. Of course, I started out long before that but offically and all that, it's been over five years.
Half a decade. A Demi-Decade. Five years. I have to say that it has flown by. From the day that I first pestered moonbeam13 (https://www.deviantart.com/moonbeam13) into letting me oversee a gallery that technically wasn't vacant (Abstract and Surreal
