Night photography is fast becoming popular and during February at CRPhotography we'll be posting some useful articles and tutorials on how to capture the night sky without really needing too much expertise and equipment. In the news the past month, photographs of the Northern Lights have been popping up since it's one of the best time of years to capture the sensational views. Read an interview with Aurora Hunter Jim Henderson for some personal insight.
For a little humour this month, check out this article from PetaPixel which looks at a set of meme images showing what Disney Princesses would be like if they were photographers. Also on Petapixel there is a leaked Nikon press release which reveals new program advanced dslr firmware updates! And elsewhere online the Guardian photographer of the year has been announced here. Finally, we're asking you what your New Years Photography Resolutions are! Check out the full article here.

Word of the Month

Each month we feature a word that you may or may not have heard of - something that can also prove useful when you're out and about photographing bits and pieces!
Ambient Light;
I hear people talk about this a lot and it means; The available or natural light completely surrounding a subject. Light already existing in an indoor or outdoor setting that is not caused by any illumination supplied by the photographer such as an artificial light source.

Photographers of the Day

Give some love for our Photograph of the Day!

The photographers of the day that have been featured for the past month at CRPhotography are listed below. If you'd like to see yourself featured, or a friend, send us a note!
