Urbex is in the news again! There are some fantastic stories circulating within the media which are keeping Urban Exploration as a hot topic. Check out The Ugly beauty of Urban Exploration and Stories like this are why urban exploration photographers are secretive about where they shoot. Do you have a favourite urbex topic or location that you like to photograph at? No need for names if you don't want to divulge, but is it a building, a place or abandoned machinery that you prefer? Comment with more information! Here are some of the top urban exploration submissions to deviantART last month...

In SF area, near where I live, an abandoned mental hospital that is plenty sad and creepy, however no one is allowed to entered the abandoned premise! As a matter of fact most buildings aren't allowed public entrances. I would loved to capture some images to reminiscent the past!

I think Chernobyl/Pripyat remains the top urbex location of all time.

Also, this guy on YT has a lot of amazing urbex videos. He also shot a video at the location of the last picture in this journal.

Great features! Back in my hometown, there was a small complex of industrial buildings that i was exploring with my friend DirtHat.  We entered through an open doorway that was facing the train tracks and started taking shots/exploring.  We'd been inside for about 20 minutes, when suddenly we heard all of this loud banging.  A bit freaked out, we quietly made our way to where we'd come in, only to discover that while we were inside, someone had boarded up the entrance we'd used to get in :noes:. We eventually found a fire door that we could escape through, but it was definitely one of the scariest experiences I've had while urbexing.
