I used to see people in the street, that I'd either had to spend some time giving personal care to (because I used to be a support worker) or that I'd spent time mentoring because they had been released from prison having been convicted of sex offenses. Since becoming a Photographer, I now see people in the street whom I shared their Wedding with, capturing every precious moment. Or the young couple whose baby I photographed last year. Or, the couple whose wedding and
newborn shoot I did, because they chose me on both occasions. That is pretty much - why Photography is a gift and why it's such a huge honour to be able to document these things. In amongst the flowers, the landscapes, the teacups hanging in trees, the pets, the weather and the sunsets - is the ability to capture a moment that means the world to so many people. Isn't that just a fantastic feeling?
