I feel like such a hypocrite providing critique for this, because I can't do nearly as well!
But okay, I'll give a shot at it.
I love your technique - it's a beautifully captured image, and the flower was a perfect subject.
That being said, I don't know if the flower is supposed to blend into the background or stand out. Admittedly, this is more of a post-editing thing than photography, but the purple is sort of inbetween; it sort-of blends into the brown background and sort-of stands out? I guess?
I'm kind of grasping at straws here, because I really want to write a helpful critique but can't think of anything. So if this makes no sense... ignore it, lol. <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile)"/>
